2nd Workshop on Cybersecurity in Automation and Control Systems

Last Thursday, October 16, the SUPPRESS Research Group, together with the Spanish Committee of Automatic Control (CEA), organized a session on cybersecurity in automation and control systems as part of the 19th International Information Security Conference (19ENISE), organized by the Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE).

The full program of the session is available at: https://suppress.unileon.es/19enise/

During the session, a demonstration entitled “Defense in Depth in the New IEC 61499 Standard” was conducted with the participation of Professor Juan Manuel Escaño González from the University of Seville.

This demonstration, resulting from the group’s collaboration with Universal Automation, showcased panels featuring automation devices compliant with this new standard, which introduces an event-driven architecture that redefines the industrial automation paradigm.
